I tried contacting local tax offices to verify, and as expected, no such requirement existed. Their goal was obvious—fabricate another layer of fees to delay and extract more cash. The longer I questioned them, the more hostile their responses became, almost as if they were trained to corner victims. No responsible broker demands taxes upfront in this manner. Every red flag screams one thing: scam platform.
