The report also mentioned that ChatGPT currently has over 800 million weekly active users. During a previous optimization window, the company issued a "code red" mobilization for product improvement last December, pausing certain projects to concentrate resources on enhancing the chatbot's experience and capabilities.

To maintain its leading edge, OpenAI reportedly plans to launch an updated chat model this week to respond to competition from Google, Anthropic, and others.
